A food truck permit can be a one-time permit for a daily event, or an annual permit. The annual permit is strongly recommended for food trucks wishing to set up frequently.
A food truck shall only be located in non-residential zoning districts, except as otherwise permitted in the Unified Development Ordinance; on a private lot containing a principal building; or as a special event approved by the town. Additionally, you must receive authorization to set up from the property owner.
The one-time permit fee is $50. The annual permit fee is $200.00. Additionally, to change your food truck location, within the bounds of your annual permit, a $25.00 change of location fee is owed.
Hours of operation are limited to the hours between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. A food truck may operate a maximum of two days in a single week (Sunday through Saturday) within the jurisdiction of the town, whether at a single or multiple locations. Additionally, a business or non-profit organization hosting a food truck selling food to the general public shall also be limited to a maximum of two days in a single week (Sunday through Saturday).
